Snarky Puppy at the Grammy Awards

ICMP Songwriting tutor Bill Laurance and his band Snarky Puppy last night won their second Grammy Award.

At the lavish ceremony in LA, featuring performances from the likes of Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar, the contemporary jazz group were presented with the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album for their album ‘Sylva’. The record is a collaboration with Netherlands-based ensemble Metropole Orkest.

The award is their second Grammy, having won previously a gong for Best R&B Performance with Lala Hathaway.

Bill Laurance is a tutor here at the ICMP, and plays keyboards for Snarky Puppy.
