Congratulations to guitar student Tae Kyung Kim who has been named as winner of ICMP’s South Korean Scholarship. 

Tae is a music student at Baekseok Arts University in Seoul and was presented with his prize at an awards ceremony at Schoolmusic, Incheon. 

Online retailer Schoolmusic is one of South Korea's top music instrument and gear sellers and a scholarship partner ICMP has collaborated with since 2011. 

Tae said:

To be honest I didn't expect that I would win this competition because there were so many excellent players. But thankfully, the professors of ICMP chose me among many applicants. I am so grateful for this."

"I have always dreamed of studying in Western countries to develop my music skills. The day that the winner was announced was the moment that my dreams were fulfilled. This year is the year of blessing for me."

Tae Kyung Kim will receive places on our range of ICMP online courses alongside zoom sessions with ICMP tutor Tolis Zavaliaris.
