We’ll be hosting a virtual meeting with ICMP’s Facilities Manager Chris Catchpole and Professor Tony Harris, ICMP’s Director and Dean, for incoming and returning students to learn how ICMP will operate from September 2020.

Taking place on 28th July from 6pm, the online event will be a great opportunity for students, parents and carers to ask any questions they may have about the start of the new academic year and changes to how ICMP works as we and the rest of the world adapt to the ‘new normal’.

With the Covid-19 pandemic ongoing, we’ve strived to implement a number of adjustments to guarantee the safety of students and staff while continuing to deliver our first class music education programme. We’ve planned to provide our full suite of programmes in a more flexible way, blending on-site classes with online learning, meaning we will be ready to provide a safe and professional learning and teaching environment whatever the UK government guidance is in September 2020.

Professor Tony Harris, ICMP’s Director and Dean, said:

As with any other year, we’re really looking forward to welcoming new and returning students to ICMP this September. We are confident that our team has responded brilliantly to the challenges provided by the new normal. With the support of our students and staff, we aim to continue offering world class music education but in a safe and supportive learning environment.”

Chris Catchpole, ICMP Facilities Manager, said:

The safety and wellbeing of the ICMP community is our number one priority. We will continue to follow the latest government guidance around Covid-19 and believe the safety measures that we've put in place, including providing face masks, sanitisation stations, additional cleaning and increased air circulation throughout the building, will ensure we can open our doors safely.”

The event will provide information around delivery of the academic programme, access to our campus and facilities as well as information on induction.

The session will also offer new and returning students, along with parents and carers, the opportunity to ask questions around the start of the new academic year.
