Spotlight March Video

Here at ICMP we are proud to support our community and always look forward to sharing their successes.

Each Tuesday, we present a student or graduate music project, making it our #ICMPSpotlight of the week.

This time we've chosen to shine a light on the music video for Wear Me Down, the latest release by March (Kitty O'Neal), one of our MA Songwriting students.

ICMP SPOTLIGHT: 17TH MARCH 2020

Wear Me Down, a music video by March.

The video for 'Wear Me Down', the last song released by MA Songwriting student Kitty O'Neal aka March and title track to her EP, was shot on her personal iPhone and edited by her.

The singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist is also the performer in the video, making this a complete DIY music project.

March is an artist that combines folk, indie, and experimental influences, creating a unique atmospheric pool of smooth layered vocals, interweaving guitar melodies and catchy hooks.

I challenged myself to make this video with just my iPhone, using iMovie, and some wicked dance moves... The only cost was a £25 parking fine I got from parking outside the flat for too long. I can say I'm really happy with the result!"

In 2019 she secured a slot at Glastonbury and gained attention from BBC Introducing Solent, The South and Radio 6 'Fresh On The Net' blog. March has recently supported artists such as Rae Morris, Rozi Plain, Band of Skulls, Maz O'Connor, and Meadowlark. She is currently recording her debut album, set for release in Autumn 2020.
