ICMP is delighted to welcome Pearlbay Sri Lanka to our network of international partner schools.

To celebrate the collaboration, an online production competition was organised by ICMP and industry software partners, Izotope

Students submitted their original tracks and their production skills were judged by a panel made up of ICMP Programme leaders and presided over by Ace, ICMP's Head of Industry Partnerships and Business  Development.

Pearlbay music production student Teshan Savinda was the winner with his impressive new track 'Let Me Tell You' under the artist name of Mophyne, featuring Kaveesha.

He received the prize of permanent licences for the Mix and Master bundle from Izotope's leading industry software.

Commenting, Ace said:

We are looking forward to building our relationship with Pearlbay with their students and staff to develop activities such as online involvement as well as visits and collaborations, and ultimately welcoming their students and alumni to study here."

Pearlbay is the first audio institute in Sri Lanka to deliver a fully-fledged degree pathway program with Pearson.

This allows students to study up to the BTEC Higher National Diploma level (equivalent to the first two years of a UK honours degree) and complete a full undergraduate degree with a local or international university.

With state-of-the-art facilities, expert staff, and professional opportunities, Pearlbay champions relevant and innovative training that equips students with the knowledge and skills to meet the demands of a career in the ever-evolving music industry.

On winning the prize, Teshan said:

To be a winner means preparing not just one day, one month or even one year - but for a lifetime of music. I believe passion is the road to success."

Teshan will release 'Let Me Tell You' song under his duet artist name Mophyne in January 2023.

Mophyne mainly produces music in the genres of pop and deep house blended with Sri Lankan music styles.
