ICMP is proud to unveil the winning song from the ATLA International Songwriting Contest: Monday Osarobo's 'Us Wolves'.

The winning track was written by ICMP Songwriting student Monday and produced by ICMP alumni Malcolm McCarrthy. It also features alumni Ben Trickey on guitar.

The ATLA Songwriting Contest has run for several years as a joint competition open to songwriting students at ATLA in Paris and ICMP in London.

Participants have the chance to present an original song in front of a jury of music professionals. The winner is then given the opportunity to record the song in a studio alongside filming a video.

Shane Beales, ICMP BA Songwriting degree Programme Leader, said: "We run this competition every year in partnership with John Meldrum and our friends at the ATLA School in Paris.

We had two heats, one in Paris, the other in London, then a fantastic grand final. Monday Osorobo was a very worthy winner and we're delighted with how the song and video have turned out."

Winner and ICMP student Monday Osorobo said: "I heard about the competition through a friend and had no expectations of winning when I entered. But I did and it was a complete surprise.

It's been great to work on the song in the studio with ICMP professionals who have really helped bring it to life. It's an amazing opportunity for students."

Well done to Monday on winning and look out for more details on this year's competition.
