ICMP songwriting student Aislin Evans was among five emerging artists chosen by super producer and hit maker Naughty Boy to mentor as part of the Shake Shack artist development programme.
Organised by the international chain in collaboration with the music maker, the scheme called for submissions from unsigned artists to win mentoring time.
Aislin, alongside the other winners Charlotte Plank, Wardz, ECKOES and Ellie Dickson, was chosen to spend time in the studio receiving tips and guidance from Naughty Boy and will perform at a live final.
Commenting, Aislin said:
I sent a link to my single ‘Feel About You’ and thought nothing more of it until I received an email in April congratulating me on being one of five winners hand-selected by Naughty Boy himself.
Fast forward a month and I’m sitting in Naughty Boy’s studio in Ealing with his manager, two cats and writer/producer collaborator Wesley Muoria Chaves with my tracks blasting from the sound system. He’s brought me cupcakes. I play a new song on the studio piano (gifted to him by Emeli Sande, who else) and they love it so much they want to book a session in to record it.”
Aislin continued:
“After the live performances I’m super excited to get in the studio with Naughty Boy and Wesley to produce up some music. Watch this space.”
