ICMP has had a fun-filled summer connecting with Camden Summer University (CSU), a longstanding and successful youth provision offered by the London Borough of Camden.
Over two weeks, ICMP offered free courses to young people aged between 14-19 years across a range of subjects including Vocals, Music Production, and Music for Film, TV and Games.
The quality of work produced was incredible and thanks to our industry partners such as Ableton, we were able to provide students with licences to continue their musical journey outside of the classroom.
Terri Cash, ICMP’s Community and Widening Participation Manager, said: "CSU holds a special place in my heart as I actually attended as a young person from the age of 14, then volunteered and ended up working for Camden as a youth worker. The opportunities CSU provides are just incredible and not something accessible through schools."
I was honoured to open up our doors to young people from Camden to not only showcase our great facilities, but help unleash their creativity and make music. I hope we can build on this new relationship and provide more opportunities for young people to be creative."
Kim Trehane, Project Co-ordinator at CSU, said: "The CSU is a holiday programme for young people to get involved in a wide variety of activities during the summer holidays."
