ICMP’s student band Vermilion Day participated in the International Band Contest - part of the annual exchange trip to the Netherlands - hosted by ICMP’s partner Fontys (Academy of Music and Performing Arts).

Vermilion Day first visited Tilburg, where they had to chance to network, attend music workshops and jam with Fontys’ own band Mr. Marten, as well as Aeroglyph Collective from ICMP’s partner school HDPK in Berlin.

After Tilburg, all three bands headed to Groningen to play at Altersonic festival where they performed an hour set each at De Drie Gezusters venue.

Bruno Lopes, ICMP's International Recruitment & Partnerships Manager, said:

ICMP would like to thank Fontys for their hospitality, great level of involvement from their students and staff, as well as making it possible for all the bands to perform live and end the exchange trip on a high note. We are looking forward to more networking events with Fontys and HDPK in 2019."

Anna Eline Ø. Berg, vocalist from Vermilion Day, added:

We had an incredible time on our journey through the Netherlands. It was a week filled with adventures, great music and even better people. We’re very grateful that ICMP chose to send us on this trip. Thank you so much to everyone that has been involved."
