Listen to Only You by our new Spotlight artist Sarah Close

With so much amazing success, it’s hard to keep track of what ICMP students and graduates are achieving.

So to help, we're highlighting a track each week from a selected ICMP artist or band already attracting industry attention and starting to make some serious waves with music lovers and critics alike.

ICMP SPOTLIGHT: 19TH SEPTEMBER

'ONLY YOU' - SARAH CLOSE

BA Songwriting alumna Sarah Close's career has gone into overdrive over the course of 2017.

The Isle of Wight born singer-songwriter has built a devoted online fanbase, regularly earning hundreds of thousands of views for videos posted on her YouTube channel (where she has over 777,000 subscribers). Combined with a series of gigs and releases, she inked a record deal with Parlophone earlier this year.

It's all happened quickly for Sarah. Having released her debut EP  'Caught Up’  in April, she played a sold-out show at Camden Assembly which was selected as one of Record of the Day’s ‘Gigs of The Day’. She'll be back in the capital this September, playing a headline date at Heaven.

Her single ‘Call Me Out’ featured in the Spotify Viral 50 chart where she hit the top spot in the UK, Ireland, Australia, Canada and the Netherlands.

The track also peaked at number one in the Official UK Physical Singles Chart and has even appeared on hit TV series ‘Geordie Shore’ and 'Made in Chelsea'.

Sarah will lead her headline tour across dates in the UK and Ireland this September.
