ICMP Spotlight: Salena Mastroianni

With so much amazing success, it’s hard to keep track of ICMP student and alumni achievements.

So to help, our team at The Hub is choosing a track each week from a selected ICMP artist or band from their network. Any artist who comes under the #ICMPSpotlight is one already attracting industry attention and starting to make some serious waves with music lovers and critics alike. Get in touch with The Hub via thehub@icmp.ac.uk to tip them off about any success stories you think we need to know about...

ICMP SPOTLIGHT: 21st November

'I Don’t Wanna Fight’ - Salena Mastroianni

Our BMus vocals alumna Salena's career has gone from strength to strength since completing her studies at ICMP.

She recently performed as a backing vocalist for Kesha at the MTV Awards and, having provided backing vocals for Rita Ora, Fleur East and Crystal Fighters, was shortlisted for the Eurovision Song Contest entry for the UK last year. Her achievements also include supporting Ed Sheeran and performing alongside Craig David, Shola Ama and Robbie Williams to name just a few.

Salena is now developing her own EP with producers from The Next Room and you can catch her at this week’s ‘Working as a Backing Vocalist’ Masterclass at ICMP on 22nd November 2017 alongside fellow vocals alumna, Izzy Chase and Lauren Johnson.
