ICMP is launching The Session Musician events featuring insight and advice from some of the best players and performers in the business.

The new online series is expected to feature four Q&As and masterclasses with top session musicians.

Hosted by ICMP tutors and alumni, each session will focus on providing advice and sharing best practice for bassists, drummers, guitarists, and vocalists.

The first event will take place on 11th November and see ICMP drums alumna Hannah Montrose in conversation with top bassist Vicky Warwick.

Vicky has been a touring and recording bass player for over a decade with multiple artists including Charli XCX and Guy Chambers while Hannah has performed with Lizzo among many others.

The pair will discuss practical advice and best practices for bassists: how to prep for an audition, how to release music, how to make the most of your time in a music university, and what to do after you've completed your studies.

Elsewhere, ICMP tutor Ryan Haberfield will be in conversation with session guitarist Luca Faraone on 25th November.

Luca will discuss his experiences with the likes of Stormzy, Rita Ora, Jonas Blue and many, many more. The full list of remaining events is:
