Congratulations to ICMP alumnus YEYO for winning a prestigious grant from the Bogota Arts Institute (IDARTES).

The support is given as part of the city’s programme of promotion of its art with YEYO’s DOS one of two awarded proposals for the "Circulation grant for new musical projects".

As part of the grant, YEYO will give a special live performance at the Villa Mayor Theatre on 31st August, a prestigious venue in Bogota with a capacity for 270 people.

The grant’s jury said:

"DOS was considered by the jury’s members as a notably creative project with a high level of performance. Also, they considered it meticulous and innovative in regards to its ensemble and arrangements. All these qualities were evident at the live presentation and in the studio material."

YEYO said:

I’m really proud to be recipient of the award since this is my own project where I compose, arrange, do the musical direction and production."

“From the beginning, DOS has been an ideal place for me to develop, express and share my own voice, enhance my creativity and put into practice ideas about music. Therefore, this award represents for me confirmation that I’m following an exciting path and a boost to keep on doing it. Besides, this gives me the happiness of sharing my music with broader audiences, and they will be given the opportunity to enjoy it in the same way as I’m doing it, while performing and creating!"
