Swedish Death Candy

ICMP band Swedish Death Candy were one of five acts chosen to perform at our Industry Showcase back in April of 2015. Held at the exclusive Hospital Club in London’s Covent Garden, the band played for the likes of Sony and BMG, and garnered interest from several record labels and management companies. As a result, and along with our careers service the Hub, who were instrumental in helping the band, Swedish Death Candy have found representation with Full Time Hobby.

Swedish Death Candy are not your run-of-the-mill rock band. Made up of students both past and present, the unique take on the genre that they honed here at the ICMP combines psychedelic, progressive and experimental rock, and is rapidly gaining them fans throughout the music world.

The band were recently featured on BBC Radio 1’s Rock Show with Daniel P. Carter, who playlisted their song ‘The Devil’s in the Window’ alongside tracks from some of the biggest rock bands of all time such as Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath.

Known for their incredible stage show featuring psychedelic lights and visuals, Swedish Death Candy have recently supported American band Wand on their UK tour, and are also set to support Yak on the final leg of their upcoming tour across the country.

Made up of Louis Perry on guitar and vocals, Francesco Codardo on guitar, Jiwoon Whang on bass guitar and Marco Ninni on drums, the band studied on various courses at the ICMP, including our BMus (Hons) Popular Music Performance and our BA (Hons) Creative Musicianship.
