FiDef launched at ICMP | London Music School

ICMP students and staff can enjoy access to audio processing tool FiDEF thanks to an exclusive UK partnership with the company.

A launch event for the initiative was held at ICMP with Creative Music Production Programme Leader Jason O’Bryan and ICMP’s Business Development Director Pete Whittard presenting the new application.

According to the company, the processing system replaces essential audio cues lost in the recording process to provide a more engaged and accurate listen.

Jayson Tomlin and Jeff Wilson, FiDef co-founders of the new technology, appeared via video.

In the video, Jeff said:

We want to improve how you hear music. FiDef corrects anything that is technically wrong with a playback stream so your brain can emotionally engage better with a track.”

With recent masterclass guest Andrew Scheps as patron and our Music Production patron Gary Katz as Executive Advisor, the system is being praised by some of the best in the industry. Fans also include the likes of Foo Fighters producer Elliot Scheiner and multiple Grammy winner Al Schmitt.

Students and staff at ICMP can now access the new service via the FiDef website using their ICMP email address and Faculty ID.

Visit the website.

We’d love to hear of your experiences with the FiDef system - please email to provide your feedback.
