Kilburn campus, the original home of ICMP, is a contemporary music student’s dream. As the main site of all our essential services, it’s packed to the rafters with all the very latest equipment and technology – when you study at ICMP, you can use every last production studio, guitar, and practice space seven days a week, completely free of charge!
Spread over five floors and 20,000 square feet, Kilburn campus is a state-of-the-art space that’s home to a range of cutting-edge facilities.
Our Music Facilities
- Recording studios
This is where the magic happens. Three impressive industry-standard studios with adjoining live rooms offer a space to master the studio environment and create highly accomplished, professional tracks, ready for release.
- Live performance spaces
Whether you’re trying out something new, rehearsing your set or putting on a show to remember, all Kilburn campus’s live spaces are soundproofed and fully-equipped for outstanding performances.
- Rehearsal rooms
Fitted with all the latest kit including PAs, electric pianos and a selection of guitar and bass amps, you can book any of Kilburn campus’s rehearsal rooms outside of teaching hours for free, right up until 11PM.
- Drum booths
Essential for students with a love of percussion, Kilburn campus’s dedicated soundproof drum booths are fully kitted-out with everything you need – including amps, in case bassists or guitarists want to squeeze in for a session.
- Production rooms
All our production rooms are loaded with the latest state-of-the-art kit, including professional vocal recording equipment and powerful iMacs running the very latest DAWs.
- Tech suites
With 130 iMacs spread across various labs, all set up with the latest DAWs, industry-standard plugins, controller keyboards and Audient audio inputs, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to editing, production and academic work.
The Gear Hire Shop
Stocked to the rafters with over 2000 pieces of high-performance and expertly maintained kit, everything in our gear hire shop is available to you for free – and if you need help or support, our knowledgeable team are on hand from 9am–11pm.

The Library
A haven of resources, information and inspiration, the library at Kilburn campus is yours to use at any time of day – with our experienced library team on-hand to help you make the most out of all the resources available.
Studying at Kilburn
As a student at ICMP, you’ll spend a lot of time on Kilburn campus — and it’s perfectly placed with that in mind. Just minutes away from Kilburn underground and Brondesbury overground stations, the campus is also on multiple bus routes. It’s easy to get here on foot too, with plenty of affordable accommodation nearby as well as bustling bars, cafes, pubs and restaurants.

Queen's Park Campus
Kilburn isn’t our only campus. We’ve invested £2.5 million into our Queen’s Park Campus, a brand new state-of-the-art music facility that’s home to even more impressive facilities – including industry-leading recording studios, tech labs, a vibrant student social hub and an incredible live music venue.
Did you know?
All ICMP students can use our facilities for course-related practice free-of-charge outside of timetabled hours, and we're open 7 days a week! Students can also access facilities outside of term-time, for example during the summer break. *
* Please note, occasional closures days are required during key holiday periods (eg. Christmas, Easter, Bank holidays), for planned maintenance and occasionally for events such as Open Days.
