About your MA Creative Music Production Degree

The ICMP MA Creative Music Production postgraduate  programme provides an inspiring and creative space where you’ll explore different approaches to creative music production, develop your artistic identity, and investigate innovative approaches to idea generation and the art of mixing and mastering.  

By focusing on developing creative music production approaches, you’ll expand your practical, technical, and creative skills by critically analysing a range of producers and production styles while collaborating with your peers.  

By the time you graduate, you’ll know how to create, produce and launch market-ready original music. You’ll also have the industry-relevant artistic and technical skills required to work successfully and effectively in professional music production settings.

Equipment Checklist

Essential​

  • Headphones 
  • Pencils, pens, notebooks 

Recommended Equipment 

  • A laptop – preferably a MacBook Pro 
  • DAW software (Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Ableton)
  
  • A condenser microphone 
  • An audio interface 

Don’t forget, as an ICMP student you’ll have access to exclusive discounts from leading music manufacturers, so if you’re thinking of buying new gear (from computers to instruments), it’s worth waiting until you start with us.
