uel-logo-uel-blue.pngThe Institute is proud to be working collaboratively with the University of East London (UEL), who validate the Institute’s degree courses.

The two institutions have a vision, strategies and objectives that are closely aligned, and have been working together since 2007 in the development and delivery of a fantastic range of courses for students of contemporary music. All students enrolled on these courses are also enrolled as students of UEL and ultimately receive their awards from the university.

While the courses are delivered at the Institute’s premises, students have access to a wide range of support and services from the university, including access to university administrative and electronic support and information systems. The collaboration further provides opportunities for students to develop projects with other UEL schools, such as fashion, film and digital industries. Further, the working relationship is fully integrated ensuring that quality and standards are effectively managed and monitored, student feedback is effectively incorporated and complaints and disciplinary issues are effectively managed.

Simon Robertshaw UEL“As the Dean of UEL’s School of Arts and Digital Industries, I’m delighted to be working with the team at the Institute. The Institute has been affiliated with UEL since 2007 and in that time we have jointly developed a great portfolio of contemporary music courses. The collaborative work between the two institutions has produced many benefits and opportunities for students of the university and staff alike, and I look forward to continuing to work together to provide an exciting and innovative student experience."

As a result of this relationship, students can be reassured that the Institute is both recognised and respected as a provider of higher education, has been evaluated for such things as our ability to deliver high quality, relevant education that meets the expectations of the UK Quality Code, our long-term financial sustainability and governance processes and procedures and the ability of our operational structure to support this provision in a valid, reliable and robust manner’
