Busk in London’s Gigs competition returns in 2018 and you now have the chance to support ICMP talent in a public vote.

Our Higher Diploma student Frida von Hertzen and Songwriting alumna Hanna are both taking part in the contest.

After several stages of the competition, you now have until 26th August to vote for Frida and Hanna as they perform across the capital looking for support.

Hanna said:

I entered Gigs, the Mayor of London’s busking competition, for my music to be heard more by the public and potential music industry contacts. I entered back in 2015 and 2016 which was great fun!"

Hanna has been busy since completing her songwriting degree.

She continued: "Over the years I have performed many gigs and open mic nights, which have included Nashville (during the Tin Pan South festival) and the Edinburgh Fringe. Winning would be a great achievement and would mean a lot to me, as I’m currently busking full time since graduating ICMP."

The favourite acts will go through to a Grand Final at Westfield London on Sunday 2 September.

Gigs is now its in tenth year and organised by Busk in London in association with Gibson. Prizes up for grabs are from the likes Gibson, Roland, Eurostar and ICMP.

The winner will also have chance to record a single in a top London studio as well receive industry advice and support.
