After wowing judges and TV audiences alike with her vocal prowess, BA Songwriting Degree student Truly Ford bowed out of the competition in style with a fantastic performance of Sia’s ‘Elastic Heart’ which perfectly showcased her unique vocal style and abilities as well as demonstrating her mastery of complex choreography with a host of backing dancers.
She showed true class by being gracious and generous after just missing out on the chance to appear in the finals, congratulating the other contestants and publishing on social media: “I’m so proud of myself! Now let’s look to the future and my music and shows!”
Truly was initially picked by Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale after performing ‘Dakota’ by Stereophonics in the Blind Audition stage, and enjoyed success in the Battle Round and the subsequent knockout rounds, with her stellar performances of ‘Lights’ by Ellie Goulding and Lady Gaga’s ‘Millions’.
As her profile continues to rise, Truly has already been featured across the media including appearances on 'Good Morning Britain' and in 'OK Magazine'. Described by Rossdale as “the most complete artist in the show”, she has been complimented not just on her unique voice, but also her style and star quality.
We have no doubt you are headed for great things Truly, and we thank you for giving us all this wonderful experience – we are so proud and we are looking forward to your future success!
