ICMP’s latest Songwriters' Circle will welcome ICMP graduate Denai Moore as headliner alongside acclaimed songwriter Miranda Cooper to award its new Diversity and in Music Scholarship for the MA in Songwriting course.
Taking place at Bush Hall on 31 October, the event will also see performances from the likes of Julian Gonzalez, Bronte Clare and Foxgluvv.
Miranda was part of the Xenomania songwriting team behind hits such as 'Sound of the Underground' and 'The Promise' by Girls Aloud and many more. The scholarship aims to take positive steps to encourage more individuals from under-represented backgrounds to engage with a postgraduate music degree.
Hosted by ICMP’s BA Songwriting Programme Leader, Jonathan Whiskerd, Songwriters’ Circle is a monthly event offering the audience the opportunity to hear songs in their most stripped-back form. Open to all, the evening attracts writers, musicians, music lovers and music industry executives, encouraging a unique and diverse blend of people to come together to discuss and enjoy quality songwriting.
The event will feature songwriters from each year at ICMP, plus an alumni and special guest.
