ICMP started the new academic year with a series of fantastic events to welcome new and returning students.
The week began on 13th September with a welcome talk at London’s Islington Assembly Hall featuring the brilliant songwriter and artist, Lianne La Havas.
Lianne discussed her career, songwriting process and advice for emerging talent on how to make the most of their music industry opportunities.
Paul Kirkham, ICMP Chief Executive, welcomed new students to ICMP at the event. He said: “If we ever needed more music, then the time is now and it's a great time to start."
You’re all making an amazing commitment, not just to your own futures but also to music and we are here for one reason: to help you find a way for you to achieve the goals you’re setting yourselves."
Other events took place over the course of the week including the first Songwriters’ Circle of the year and our infamous Bandeoke night at Nambucca.
We also hosted a masterclass with acclaimed session musician and artist, Yolanda Charles, while holding our live showcase featuring some brilliant ICMP talent including Hello Amnesia, Saara Kaldma and more.
