The ICMP is delighted to announce that MSI, based in Jakarta, Indonesia has joined the ICMP international partners’ network as an Associate School.
MSI was founded in Pondok Indah initially as a guitar school, known as GSI, but has since grown to encompass the teaching of bass, drums, keyboards and vocals, now collectively known as MSI, or Music School of Indonesia.
MSI now boasts six centers that deliver professional tuition to young musicians with a clear commitment to their success and excellence in education.
The ICMP partners network is structured to allow schools at a range of stages of development to join and interact with each other
During a recent visit to ICMP by MSI’s CEO Setiawan Winarto commented "MSI is a progressive contemporary music school in Indonesia with international perspective. We have been looking for a premier music college abroad to collaborate and ICMP repeatedly came on the top of the list in our research. We are very excited to start collaborating with ICMP"
Director Pete Whittard added ‘it is always exciting to welcome new schools to the partner’s network. We are all educating the next generation of contemporary musicians and therefore we have lots of common experiences we and our students can share’
