Summer continues to sizzle as does ICMP’s rich pool of musical talent, with plenty of new music, gigs and festival appearances from our students and alumni.

To help you get to know the latest releases from ICMP affiliated artists, we’ve compiled some top tracks from the month. Listen below.

Maeve

Songwriting alumna Maeve is doing her best to twist pop music into new forms with her sultry take on electronic soul. After a debut gig at The Great Escape earlier in the year, she’s now back with her latest track, ‘Martyr’. Read our interview with Maeve

Sasha

Sasha has been steadily building up a head of musical steam with her synth led, bedroom pop. After playing Notting Hill Arts Club last month, she's just announced a headline show at the Waiting Room in London's Stoke Newington and unveiled this great new track, 'Waterworks'. Read our interview with Sasha on the secret of a great collaboration.

Sarah Close

BA Songwriting alumna Sarah Close’s winning way with a song and clever use of YouTube has meant she already has a devoted online following despite only being in the early stages of her music career. After a little time away, she released new music this July in the form of ‘You Say’.

Odina

Our alumna Odina has picked up plenty of plaudits for her indie creations, earning comparisons to the likes of Bon Iver and Joanna Newsom. She played a sold out set at the Servant Jazz Quarters back in May and you should listen to her latest release ‘I’ll Carry You’.

Flo

Our songwriting alumna Flo released this lush track, 'Velvet' in July. This piano led musical moment arrived alongside a beautiful animated film by director Kensei Thomas. Watch below.
