Congratulations to new talent Jenem for winning our ICMP prize at Busk in London’s Gigs competition.
The emerging performer was one of a number championed at the final of Gigs, the annual busking competition from the Mayor of London’s Office, presented in association with Gibson. The live event took place on Sunday 2nd September at Westfield in London.
ICMP’s James Brister, Industry Liaison Executive with our careers team, The Hub, and artist manager, was among the judging panel alongside the likes of Newton Faulkner and BBC Introducing's Abbie McCarthy.
Commenting, James said: "It was great to be involved in the judging of the final for the Busk in London Gigs competition. The culmination of this year’s event showcased some fantastic talent and it was exciting to see such confidence and in some cases 'industry readiness' from the performers."
Jenem is a very exciting talent and I'm very much looking forward to learning more about her, her artistry and objectives and seeing how ICMP will be able to assist."
Jenem’s prize includes a series of artist development sessions with James and our team to explore her music, sonic identity and more.
Other winners of the categories included fledgling acts Alex Crittenden and LAYK.
