The very first Tunnel to Tunnel Festival rocked London Fields Brewery on Wednesday the 27th of May. The huge line-up of 16 bands, all featuring current students or alumni of the Institute, played two separate stages in front of hundreds of thrilled festival-goers.

With the scent of stone-baked pizza filling the air, the drinks flowing, and even a face-painting stall, the Festival had a real party atmosphere, and the excellent music from the likes of Pep Tiger, Retrospective for Love, and Moncrieff had the crowd packed into the Light and Dark stages alike. The excitement reached fever pitch as headliners The Carnabys took to the stage, hitting the crowd with some of their classic songs, as well as a few new tunes that went down a storm.

The event drew visitors from across the city, and saw students, alumni and many more rubbing shoulders in one of London’s most up-and-coming districts. Thanks to sponsors Ernie Ball and Knight Sound and Light, all were treated to a great show from the artists, with genres ranging from the skiffle/folk of Jones to the psychedelic madness of Swedish Death Candy.
