ICMP is delighted to be hosting five panel sessions exploring The Artist’s Journey as part of BBC Music Introducing’s Amplify event in October.
Taking place at London’s Excel venue 6th - 8th October, the sessions will run across all three days and feature some of the music industry’s leading thought leaders and influencers.
James Brister, Artist Manager and Industry Liason Executive at ICMP’s career advice unit The Hub, will moderate the sessions with topics ranging from perfecting your release strategy to the most effective ways to get your music featured on playlists.
ICMP will be joining many of the music industry’s top organisations in partnering with the event alongside the likes of PRS for Music, Musicians’ Union, AIM, PPL, PRS Foundation and the National Skills Academy.
Paul Kirkham, ICMP Chief Executive, said:
We are delighted to be partnering with BBC Music Introducing Amplify. This is a great opportunity to share our extensive experience of working with up and coming talent and our network of industry partnerships to provide the latest insights into the journey of an artist in 2017."
James Brister added:
The music industry is evolving at a rapid rate, meaning the challenges for new artists are changing all the time. I can’t wait to welcome some of the industry’s leading lights to our panel sessions to help us learn how emerging acts can turn these challenges into opportunities and make an impact in 2017."
With the help of our network of music industry experts, ICMP will chart five of the key steps in the journey of the artist from those first tentative songwriting urges to getting your musical creations played on the radio.
