Following on from the recent announcement about the ICMP and Alchemea College joining forces to create ‘Alchemea @ ICMP’, we have been hard at work planning our new production facilities which are due to open in September 2016.

Our highly specified studios and production rooms will provide our students with the opportunity to learn how to record and produce using industry-standard technology within a “real world” studio environment.

We are proud to be working with one of London’s most prestigious studio designers and builders, Slowglass Creative to create our stunning new studio facilities here at the ICMP. Every effort is being made to create an educational space that will look and sound fantastic.

Our teaching control room, will accommodate up to 15 students, with the centre piece being Audient’s recently launched ASP8024 Heritage Edition large format console. Our “Audient Control Room” will be connected to two live recording rooms which will allow students the flexibility to either multi-track or record a full band simultaneously. Our new facilities will be generously equipped with industry recognised technology, instruments, software and microphones.

To complement our studio complex we will also construct three new production rooms, a technology suite and an additional live performance classroom. This will ensure our students have access to some of the best educational facilities and equipment in the UK.

Alchemea’s passionate and dedicated staff worked tirelessly for many years to create what was considered to be one of the world’s leading audio schools. It is therefore rewarding to have an opportunity to build on this great work. The ICMP shares the same values and approach as Alchemea, and the partnership will allow the excellent name and heritage of Alchemea to continue in new purpose-built new facilities at ICMP’s current location.
