We are delighted to announce the completion of all of audio and artwork for the IAMCU album ‘Without the Beatles’.
The album is a modern day re-imagining of the Beatles seminal second album ‘With the Beatles’ which was released globally between November 1963 and January 1964. The new recordings have been generated through student collaborations between the three founding schools of the IAMCU, namely the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, Fermatta and LAMA.
This iconic collection of songs, running in exactly the same order as the original released 50 years ago, has involved students working remotely on three separate continents. They have arranged, rehearsed, recorded and mixed new versions of these well-loved tracks; the brief was to re-imagine the work within the context of their own musical environment and influences.
The results are stunning, and a celebration of the ability of music to unite individuals and cultures.
Advance release promotional copies of the album will shortly be available for review, whilst the original release date has been postponed due to contractual issues. A new release date will be announced in due course.
