With the weather warming up and the sun coming out, festival season is here. As with every year, the ICMP is proud to have students and alumni representing us at some of the world's biggest festivals, as well as across the UK this summer.

The festival season kicks off at The Great Escape in Brighton between May 19th and 21st, with HAUS featuring alumni Sam Kelly, Daniel Hylton Nuamah, Lyle Simpson, and Ellis Mortimer; Blush featuring alumni Ben Rotherham and Jake Chandler; and Gabi King, who currently plays drums for Declan McKenna to name but a few.

This is quickly followed by Isle of Wight festival at the beginning of June, featuring acts including The Carnabys which feature alumni Jack Mercer and Ben Gittins and Polly Money, who is a Songwriting alumna. These guys will be accompanied by Reef, made up of alumni Kenwyn House, Dominic Greensmith, and Jack Bessant and L., who is songwriting alumna Ellie Thompson, with current student Joe Watt on drums and alumna Felicia Jackson on backing vocals

The godfather of festivals, Glastonbury, will see representation from the ICMP this summer. Daughter, featuring Songwriting alumni Elena Tonra, Igor Haefeli and Remi Aguilella will be playing this year alongside Wolf Alice, who feature alumna Chloe Davis on backing vocals for the band. We are also pleased to announce that staff member Collette Williams will be playing at Glastonbury this year with her band Rews.

With the summer being in full flow, some of alumni bands will be touring not only the UK, but also the US, with Ed O'Brien, who is lead guitarist in the world renowned band Radiohead will be headlining at one of America's most famous festivals, Lollapalooza in Chicago. They will be supported in Chicago by Daughter and Wolf Alice.

With two of the UK's biggest festivals rounding off the summer, Reading/Leeds and V Festival, ICMP will be represented at both of these festivals to bring a great summer season to a close. Alumna Louisa Allen, a.k.a Foxes will be playing at Reading/Leeds alongside MNEK, who can count alumni Nathan Albert on keys and Vic Jamieson on guitar in his backing band. ICMP will be represented by alumnus Arni Arnason, who plays bass for The Vaccines and Louis Matlock playing in the band DEAD!
