Building a profile and making a career in the music industry is a challenge, and it can sometimes be hard to know where to start. This event can help you understand where and how to organise your gigs, and discover ways to support bigger artists as you build your own position.

ICMP’s exclusive partnership with Tileyard Studios has enabled us to develop a series of interactive events to support young musicians looking to build their careers in the music industry, and this Q&A panel is a unique opportunity to get advice from leading professionals to help you build a strategy to make your gigs work for you.

Duncan Ellis - Managing Director, Atlas Artist Management

London-based artist manager and entrepreneur Duncan Ellis has announced the addition of label and publishing arms to his company Atlas Artists Management. Ellis has previously helped discover, develop and manage artists including The Young Knives (Transgressive), The Rumble Strips (Island), Foals (Transgressive), Everything Everything (RCA), Lianne La Havas (WBR) and Kodaline (RCA). The current roster comprises of Skinny Living (RCA) and Face (WBR).

Carlo Scarampi - Promoter, Kilimanjaro

Carlo started working at channel fly/Mama Group in 2007 and began promoting shows at the Enterprise in Camden before becoming the in-house promoter for The Barfly and then The Borderline. In 2011, he moved to AEG Live to become a national promoter, before leaving in 2012 to join Kilimanjaro Live where he honed his roster which includes Bastille, Rag N Bone Man, Craig David, Maggie Rogers, The Lumineers, Jess Glynne, Ella Eyre and many more.

Jess Kinn - Agent, Coda Agency 

London born Jess Kinn was brought up with a love of music at a very young age, she began DJing with 60s/ 70s vinyl at the age of 16. She started working at a PR company and then settled on working at music booking agency The Leighton Pope Organisation with acts such as Michael Buble and Bryan Adams. After leaving LPO she joined Coda Agency where she has been for 5 years. She now represent acts such as The Age of L.U.N.A, Bree Runway, Lowes whilst also working across a larger roster of acts that include Shawn Mendes, Halsey, Faithless, Milky Chance, Zak Abel and Billie Marten
