Through his innovative work as a solo artist and his contributions as a sideman to Joe Satriani and Steve Vai, Stuart Hamm has firmly established himself as one of the most influential electric bassists of the past half-century. Extending the non-traditional function of the electric bass previously revolutionized by Jaco Pastorius and Stanley Clarke in the 1970s, Hamm helped to reshape the contemporary concept of the bass guitar as an unaccompanied instrument with the utilization of polyphonic, two-handed tapping, slapping and popping techniques, chords, and harmonics.

Ralph Salmins' signature groove has established him as the drummer of choice for producers and composers worldwide. He has been nominated for the British Jazz Awards on multiple occasions, winning the Best drummer category twice, has been twice ranked top ten Studio Drummer in Rhythm Magazine Readers Polls, Reader’s Poll Studio Category at Mike Dolbear.com and has been nominated for the Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Awards.

He has played on the soundtracks to over 150 movies, working with composers such as Hans Zimmer, Alexandre Desplat, A.R. Rahman, John Williams, Danny Elfman, Howard Shore and Carter Burwell.

Join us at this exclusive masterclass with two prolific and highly experienced musicians, and find out about their skills and experience in the music industry.
