She will join ICMP Head of Songwriting and host Sophie Daniels and four other ICMP student and alumni songwriters at the event.

Who is Beth Nielsen Chapman?

American born Beth is one of Nashville's most lauded songwriters. Moving to the city in 1985, she found acclaim as a writer for hire, penning top hits for Tanya Tucker and Willie Nelson and signing as a pop artist to Warner/Reprise. She's released numerous solo records in her own name while also penning tunes for many top artists including Bonnie Raitt, Emmylou Harris, Bette Midler, Elton John, Neil Diamond, Trisha Yearwood.

Her awards include mega-hit 'This Kiss', sung by Faith Hill, was ASCAP’S 1999 Song Of The Year, garnered a Grammy nomination and Nashville NAMMY’S 1999 Songwriter of the Year. Beth also received a special award by The Alabama Music Hall Of Fame, was the recipient of The Distinguished Artist Award from the Alabama State Council on the Arts in 2009 and in October 2016 Beth was inducted into the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame.

2018 saw the release of her thirteenth solo album, 'Hearts Of Glass'. Produced by Sam Ashworth, it is a collection of songs about vulnerability and strength which includes several new compositions and a few striking new versions of some rediscovered gems from her back catalogue.
