Helen Kingman

Helen is a special events producer, programmer and manager who has spent most of her career developing large-scale outdoor events to profile and rebrand Cardiff, Capital of Wales and its dockland regeneration. 

She was also the co-founder and director of the city’s iconic award-winning music venue, The Toucan Club, before selling the successful business after 10 years.

Helen now shares her expertise in events, marketing, PR and business enterprise with students at the University of South Wales and Cardiff and Vale College. She lectures on a number of courses including BA in Events Management and helped set up the new creative apprenticeship Diplomas in Wales which she now delivers.

Simon Kingman

Simon is a professional musician, music entrepreneur and educator who started his career in Cardiff in the early nineties as a guitarist and bandleader.  

In 1995 Simon co-founded the iconic Cardiff music venue 'The Toucan Club' which he ran with his partner alongside his work as a musician. After running The Toucan for 10 years and winning 2 Welsh Music Awards for Best Alternative Venue, Simon made the decision to leave the club business to concentrate on performing and songwriting. 

Teaming up with singer/songwriter Sian Evans from the band Kosheen and DJ Fresh, Simon co-wrote an album called Melopark and toured extensively with Sian to promote the project. 

Simon still works with Sian and in the past few years the duo and band have performed all over the world and in festivals including Glastonbury. Recently the duo were commissioned by the Maclaren team to perform at 6 of the Gran Prix's in 2014.

He also records and performs with the band Zervas and Pepper, touring in India in 2013 and supporting Deacon Blue on their national tour in 2014. 

Alongside his industry career Simon works for the ICMP teaching guitar and ensemble studies as well as delivering the Foundation Degree in Popular Music for CAVC.

Pablo Janczur

Pablo Janczur has been working in the music, media and events business for over 25 years. In 2010 he was part of the team that formed Orchard Media and Events one of Wales leading media and event companies and its leading independent music promoters. Orchard is a full service agency covering Film and Television production,  Media planning and sales, Web, graphic design and animation, Corporate events and exhibitions and Music events and festivals. Orchard are currently making programmes for S4C and Radio Wales and their client list included Tata Steel, Principality Building Society, Western Power Distribution and Welsh government amongst others.

Orchard entertainment is a multi-award  winning promoter in its own right runs over 200 + concerts a year from small clubs to theatres, arenas and stadiums as well as a number of outdoor events and festivals in the summer. Orchard won Regional promoter of the year at the Prestigious Live UK awards in 2013. Forthcoming shows and events include Paolo Nutini, Crosby Stills and Nash, Elton John, The Vamps, Gaz Coombes Elvis Costello and many others.
