This event is just one of the many fantastic opportunities offered to our students to network with, and get career advice from, professionals working across the music industry. This session will feature many high profile guests including managers, PR, A&R, session musicians, pluggers and promoters.

Please note, this event is only open to ICMP Students and Alumni

Students, please bring a recording of your current project for review, or a copy of your CV to chat about working in any of the areas our guests represent. We encourage all students to attend and make the most of this opportunity to chat to professionals working across the music industry.

How does speed networking work? 

You will have around 10mins to meet with as many different professionals as possible. When the whistle blows, you move onto the next professional you want to meet! Bring your questions, any tracks you want feedback on or just pop along to help build your network!

Carlyn Calder – A&R, Sony ATV
Sony/ATV Music Publishing is a leading music publisher with a catalogue of more than 3 million copyrights, ranging from songs by iconic names including The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Michael Jackson, Carole King, Queen and The Rolling Stones to contemporary superstars such as Taylor Swift, Pharrell Williams, Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Pink, Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran.

Phyllis Belezos, Booking Agent, ITB
ITB is a major international live music-booking agency representing legendary artists, contemporary global superstars and upcoming talents. Clients have included the likes of Pearl Jam, Adele, Biffy Clyro and Mumford & Sons.

Rhiannon Bramly – A&R, Bucks Music/BDi Music (Publishing)
Bucks Music is an international and independent music publisher, responsible for developing and launching the likes of T-Rex, David Bowie, The Move, Black Sabbath and Procol Harum. Currently they work with acts including Brian Eno, Pete Doherty, Honeyblood, Devlin and Blood Red Shoes. BDi has established itself as a leading independent music publishing business representing songwriters, composers and production companies with deals tailor-made for individual creative talent. Most recently, BDi was honoured with the 2016 Grammy Award for Song Of The Year for Ed Sheeran's 'Thinking Out Loud'.

Steve Tandy – MD, Cop Media
Cop Media are a radio promotions company who have worked with the likes of Blondie, Erasure, Ladyhawke and Jack Savoretti.

Jamila Scott - Head of A&R, Method Records
Having risen through the A&R ranks after starting out as a management assistant, Jamila Scott was poached from Polydor by team Disclosure to head up A&R at Method Music.

Adam Welch, Veevar Guitar
Veevar Guitar provide interactive online tuition and is run by a team of experienced performers, musicians and songwriters.

Mike Ausden, Function Central
Mike is a musician and co-founder of live music booking agency Function Central, which finds and books bands, musicians and DJs for weddings, parties and corporate events across the UK.
