Experience a taster of life as an ICMP undergraduate student at our Business Experience Day - led by industry professionals Sam Jones and Yannis Iliopoulos.

What to expect from the event

The music industry is an ever-changing landscape that stems from innovation and adaptability. At ICMP, our School of Music Business understands how important it is to have our finger on the pulse of the industry, ensuring you are delivered the most up to date knowledge and experiences.

Studying music business is perfect for those wanting to establish a multi-skilled, entrepreneurial career within the music and wider creative industries, and will provide you with the tools, opportunities and experience to develop your career. We run undergraduate programmes in Digital Marketing, Music Entrepreneurship and Live Event Management.

This experience day will give you an understanding of how we approach music business courses at ICMP. With workshops in digital marketing and the live industry, you will begin to collect the knowledge and skills to begin your journey as a music industry professional. This experience day is modelled on our courses, blending key theory and practical experience. We will also be bringing in an active industry guest to give insight into a professional career in music. With a Q&A opportunity with our impressive teaching faculty, made up of highly experienced dual professionals, you will have a broad understanding of our music business courses on offer.

Meet our Tutors

We are excited for two of our expert industry tutors to be leading this experience day, Yannis Iliopoulos and Sam Jones!

Yannis is a music industry veteran, having vast experience in the music business and working extensively with music rights and publishing. He is the founder of The Sound Of Everything Records, and its publishing arm Timespace Music Publishing, which have successfully built up a catalogue of over 400 releases. Yannis is an Associate Teaching Fellow on our BA (Hons) Music Business and Entrepreneurship programme and is currently teaching undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students at various HE programmes in the UK.

Sam Jones is an incredibly experienced event producer and music educator having worked on high profile music events including working as lead Production Manager for all high profile events with the London Boroughs of Culture.

At ICMP, Sam works as a Teaching Fellow, having worked to help develop our exciting new BA (Hons) Live Events Management course.
