Join Simon Phillips (Disability Adviser), Kate Cracker (NLP practitioner) and Oliver Tatler (Careers & Employability Manager) for an online matures student welcome event from 10 am to 2.45 pm (including a lunch break).

What is this about?
For many students who have been out of the education system for a while, starting a university course can both be exciting and worrying. It can involve lots of change including readjusting to an academic environment and lifestyle, meeting new people, taking on new responsibilities and roles, and getting used to new environments and ways of doing things.

What will I get out of the day?
We will cover various topics that we hope will be useful to you, and you will also have the chance to ask any questions you might have.

10 am Welcome and introductions
10.15-11.45 am session with Kate Craker focussed on:
- Why do you want to study at ICMP
- Communication
- Networks and networking
- Positivity
11.45 am-12.15 pm Information about The Hub and other ICMP additional support services, delivered by Oliver Tatler and Simon Phillips.
12.15 pm Lunch break
12.45-2.15 pm session with Kate Craker and Simon Phillips focussed on:
- Visualising your future
- Productivity
- Structure and Organisation - including SMART goals
- Habits

If interested, please confirm your attendance by Wednesday 18th August.

Attendees are invited to have their cameras switched on for the event. This is because this Welcome Day is a great chance for people to meet each other, connect with other ‘mature’ applicants and have a chance to discuss their hopes and worries about coming to study at ICMP. If you have any concerns/questions about this, please contact studentwellbeing@icmp.ac.uk.
