This will be the second 'How To Research' event, perfect for dissertation research, while open to everyone. This time we'll be talking to Marianne Rizkallah about How To Research Music Therapy.

"I've been through the research process as a Guildhall MA student, I've got first-hand workplace experience of music therapy research and service evaluation for both the NHS and the private sector, and have just been appointed the Vice Chair of the British Association for Music Therapy so have got the latest knowledge on Music Therapy developments in the UK!"

Marianne Rizkallah is the Director of North London Music Therapy and Music Therapy Outreach and Enterprise Tutor for the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Marianne qualified as a music therapist from the Guildhall in 2013.

As a music therapist, Marianne has worked with children, adolescents, adults and the elderly, working with clinical groups including mental health, SEBD, psychosis, autism and dementia. She has worked in the NHS, the education sector (including work in a PRU), the third sector and in private practice. Marianne specialises in setting up new work and in-service evaluation.

Marianne also works as a professional singer and vocal coach. She plays flute, piano, ukulele, and drums.
