To celebrate International Women’s Day 2020, alongside other events, we are holding a panel event in collaboration with The Cat’s Mother, who will present themselves and their project to you and host the panel.

"The Cat’s Mother is a network of established, hard-working women in the Music and Creative Industries offering voluntary consultancy for young aspiring creatives. As specialists in their field, Cat’s Mothers are equipped with the skills, knowledge and experience required to lead the pack and pave the way for other aspiring females. Expertise that educates, contacts that connect and guidance with the impact to transform career paths.”

We will be welcoming guests, Sara Lord (SVP, Concord Music Publishing), Emma Greengrass (MD Wildlife Entertainment) and Holly Manners (She Said So & Warner Bro Records) to our panel to discuss their journeys to their current role in the music industry, and the obstacles they have had to overcome as women.

This is a great opportunity for all students, regardless of gender, to get an informative insight into the music business industry and ask any questions big or small about how to get there. Perfect for music business students, but also to any performance/production/songwriting students who want to know more about A&R, Publishing, management and more. Female/Non-binary students will also be able to sign up with The Cat's Mother for a 30-minute session, this is an external offer, will happen off-site and isn't affiliated with ICMP.

Open Day: 14th March 2020

Join us at our upcoming Open Day and find out why hundreds of students choose ICMP each year. You'll meet our tutors, tour our fantastic facilities and find out how ICMP can support your aspirations.

We'll also be running free 'How to succeed at an audition' workshops

These workshops will be run by acclaimed musical director and ICMP tutor Jon Shone. Jon has auditioned close to 500 young musicians for small projects to life-changing stadium world tours. He's seen every mistake and error made, from overconfidence to under preparation. In this short and engaging presentation, Jon will equip you with some insightful and empowering information that will enable you to not only handle your audition like a pro but also ensure that you always succeed.

We look forward to seeing you in March.
