A class for students who have an interested in commercial pop songwriting and who would like to know more about the importance of collaborative writing. 

Areas covered will include:

- How to write to brief
- How to pitch songs
- How to prepare for commercial sessions

Make sure you attend this class to gain valuable insights into industry co-writing, how to successfully pitch and place your material, and how to successfully prepare for commercial songwriting sessions. 

Gerard O’Connell is currently signed to Island records as a recording artist. He has been working as a commercial song writer for the last 7 years. As well as being a signed artist he has also written for and collaborated with many established artists and acts, including Kylie Minogue, Avici, Girls Aloud, Pixie Lott, Lisa Hannigan, Gabrielle Aplin, Oh Wonder and many more.
He has also worked as an in house writer for Xenomania, the UK’s largest pop production house. Gerard has written across many genres and styles and will share his vast knowledge and different approaches to songwriting.
