Join Bill Laurance of Snarky Puppy for one evening only as he is interviewed about his debut critically-acclaimed album Flint. 

Bill will be interviewed by Atar Shafighian about the music, compositional process and his career to date. 

Flint will be available to purchase on the night and there will be a signing after the event. 




Bill is a pianist, keyboard player, composer, producer and arranger based in London. Trained at the University of Leeds, Bill has been working professionally since he was 14. He currently co-writes his own project THE FIX; an electronic duo and is an original member of the highly acclaimed Brooklyn based band Snarky Puppy. Other artists performed / worked with include, Morcheeba, Musiq Soul Child, Chris Potter, Lionel Loueke, The New Mastersounds, Miss Dynamite and Keith Allen.

Bill currently runs his own music production company Twenty Thousand specialising in music for film, TV and commercials. Recent clients include Apple Mac, SKY Broadband, Nokia, De Beers, Hewlett Packard and Rigby & Peller. Bill also works extensively in the dance world with companies including Alvin Ailey, Ballet Rambert, Mathew Bourne, Phoenix dance, Northern Ballet Theatre and English National ballet.

This masterclass is exculsively for Institute students.
