Vinzenz Benjamin is a highly sought-after freelance bass player with a long string of high profile collaborators. Born in Vienna, he began his musical training at an early age, studying piano. At sixteen, inspired by bands like Chic, Earth Wind And Fire, and Tower Of Power, he first laid hands on a bass guitar and knew that playing bass was what he wanted to do.

Some of Vinzenz’s touring and recording engagements including playing with Go West, Sister Sledge, Kim Wilde, Cheryl Cole, Rick Astley, Holly Johnson, Nik Kershaw, Tony Hadley,  Kimberley Walsh, Rod Stewart, Jimmy Somerville, Candi Staton, Belinda Carlisle, Shaznay Lewis, T’Pau, ABC, Kid Creole, Marc Almond, and Bananarama. In the studio, Vinzenz has worked with producers such as Robin Millar (Sade, Randy Crawford), Tony Platt (AC/DC) and Gary Stevenson (ABC, Go West, Rick Astley). In 2010, he released his solo album, Solid State.

Vinzenz is currently performing regularly with currently playing for Go West, Holly Johnson, and The Rewind All Stars. He endorses Mark Bass bass amps and Fender bass guitars.
