Hailing from Perth, Australia Jarrod Pizzata was born to a musical family. Following in his father’s footsteps he took up the drums at an early age. Playing in various local bands he had his first international experience with an Australian artist touring and recording through the United States and Europe throughout 2004. Soon after he relocated to London to further his career prospects. 

Jarrod’s experience in varied styles has allowed him to share the stage with many top UK and International artists such as Howard Jones, Kate Cebrano, Howie Morgan, Graffiti 6, James Taylor Quartet, Rose Royce, The Low Suns and Jacob Quistgaard (Bryan Ferry), as well as recording and touring with artists such as Brian McFadden, The Bassment Project and Coldplay. He has also appeared regularly on TV programmes such as Strictly Come Dancing, Good Morning Britain and Dancing On Ice.

Jarrod is also an accomplished engineer and producer. Having studied a Music Production and Business degree at Westminster University, Jarrod began working in various recording studios throughout London culminating in him managing a boutique studio in Baker St. During his tenure, Jarrod recorded, mixed and produced many successful projects including The Brand New Heavies, Jessie J, Betty Wright, Mike Marlin, Midas, Rizzle Kicks and worked with notable producers such as Catherine Marks (Interpol, The Foals, The Amazons, The Killers, PJ Harvey) and Jeremy Allom (Incognito, David Bowie, The Pretenders, The Specials).

Jarrod’s strengths both as a drummer and engineer/ producer are geared toward encouraging musical performances and utilising current recording and performing techniques to achieve the artist’s musical vision.

Jarrod is currently touring with The Crystal Fighters and Sophie Barker (Zero 7, Sia) and is a Ludwig Drum endorsee.
