Francesca Ross is a highly qualified singer, songwriter, and vocal coach with over ten years’ experience. A certified IVA (Institute for Vocal Advancement) singing teacher, Ross’s technical approach to vocal training is steeped in principles dating back to 17th and 18th century Italy, focusing on the development of a smooth and consistent range, delivered freely and naturally.
A graduate of Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, she has toured extensively throughout the UK, supporting big names acts like McFly and Girls Aloud. She sang lead vocals in the electro-pop group The Tigerpicks, a Sony signed band whose debut album was recorded by renowned producer Richard X (Kelis, Sugababes, Rachel Stevens). Tigerpicks received national radio play and performed at major international festivals throughout Europe. Subsequently, Ross became lead vocalist and songwriter with the band I Am A Camera. Signed to Capitol Records, I Am A Camera released three critically acclaimed singles, toured extensively and performed on the mainstage of the Lovebox Festival in Victoria Park, London. Their debut album was recorded at the legendary SARM Studios (Bob Marley, Madonna, The Clash, Roxy Music).
Teaching is a great passion and Francesca has been coaching and teaching private students since 2009, working with artists signed to Capitol Records and Perfect Songs. She has many students at her private studio and is involved in teaching at two prestigious schools and leading vocal organisations.
