How does the UCAS Application system work?

To apply to study at ICMP through UCAS, you'll first need to register at ucas.com, when you apply through UCAS you’ll be asked to submit up to five options for the courses that you’d like to study. All ICMP courses are listed on the UCAS website along with the course and campus codes that you'll need to use on your application - UCAS course codes can also be found on course pages here on our website or within the course blocks below.

The initial UCAS deadline for applicants is known as the 'On-Time' deadline is now Wednesday 31st January at 6pm (GMT). However, applications continue to be accepted via the UCAS system all the way through to the end of August, these simply enter into different application/response cycles. Our Admissions Team can explain this to you in further detail.

What to include in your UCAS application

You will need to include the following on your UCAS application:

  • A full list of all your academic achievements, including any qualifications you may currently be studying
  • A Personal Statement (maximum of 4,000 characters)
  • A reference from either a teacher, tutor or employer

For further information relating to UCAS application, and writing your personal statement, we recommend you visit the UCAS website where you'll find a wealth of resources and advice.

What happens after I've applied?

Once your UCAS application has been received, we’ll invite you in for an audition/assessment. After your audition, one of our Admissions Advisors will speak with you about your audition so that you can get some instant feedback on how you performed, and find out what happens next.

If your audition/assessment is successful, you’ll either be provided with a ‘conditional offer’ (pending until we receive your exam results) or an ‘unconditional offer’ (you’ve met the entry criteria for the course and don’t need to supply any additional information). Offers will be announced via UCAS’s ‘Track’ facility.
