We’re delighted to announce our students will have access to a new state-of-the-art studio space from September 2020.

The external site, located in nearby Acton, will feature three additional studios for students to take advantage of and learn the skills essential to enhancing their music and careers.

The spaces will come in addition to the two studios housed at our Kilburn headquarters.

All are equipped with industry-standard recording and production gear and facilities.

The studios consist of two soundproofed tracking rooms as well as a breakout space. A member of the ICMP Facilities team will work from Acton to help support and assist students where required.

At Acton, the first studio will feature an Audient ASP 4816 Small Format Analogue Console. The second studio will feature the Avid S6 desk, a specialist desk for post-production and sound and music for film, tv and game as well as standard live music recording and tracking. The third Mixing and Mastering Space will feature a range of hardware and software plugins.

Chris Catchpole, ICMP’s Facilities Manager, said:

This new space is another sign of ICMP's commitment to invest in the best available teaching and learning environment for our students."

"We're looking forward to welcoming students both new and returning to these recording facilities from September."

The studios will be available to use 10:00 - 22:00 Monday to Sunday. Some short courses will be run from the Avid S6 studio. However, both studios will be available for students to use and complete their assignments.

Our music students can not only access these studio spaces but many large live performance rooms with stages, together with sound-isolation booths across and some of the best music equipment the industry has to offer.
