ICMP Creative Music Production Tutor Charlie Thomas is the latest guest to appear on ICMP's The Interview Series podcast.

Charlie is the latest member of the ICMP musical community to be interviewed by Lara Magnelli from ICMP's Marketing Team.

Previous episodes have seen the likes of fellow ICMP Tutors Lia MiceJamie Doe and Francesca Confortini all discussing their music industry experiences and careers.

Charlie started his career in the hospitality sector, before realising music was what he wanted to pursue. He managed to land his first internship at Britannia Row, the studios owned by Pink Floyd and has never looked back since. He is now based at Konk, the studios opened by the legendary band The Kinks.

Commenting, Lara said:

Charlie is as talented as he's down to earth (and funny!). What stuck with me the most is his will to never stop learning and his passion for teaching."

Charlie said:

It was great to (virtually) hang out with Lara and chat about all thing's music. Although, I'm still not over the fact she got to see Dave Grohl playing all the Foo's classic tunes at Moth Club!"

In the interview, Charlie discusses the influence of the Foo Fighters on his musical career and his way into audio engineering via a hospitality degree and working as a club manager.  He talks about his experiences at Britannia Row, the legendary studio built by Pink Floyd and the location for their recording of 'Animals' and certain songs from 'The Wall'

Charlie also discusses how he ended up working on London Grammar's first album as his first big project, and his very first time at Abbey Road with Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason and much more.
